May 6, 2025, (COSTA MESA, CA) — Leading cannabis brand Rove partnered with cannabis chef and educator Travis Petersen—known as The Nomad Cook—for a multi-city dinner series that brought infused fine dining to seven U.S. cities throughout April. The collaboration aligned with Rove’s spring expansion efforts and its mission to offer elevated, education-driven cannabis experiences.
The exclusive, speakeasy-style dinners were hosted in cities where Rove products are available; including Las Vegas, Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus, Kansas City, and Phoenix. In total, Rove supported 10 events, with guests ranging from brand fans to dispensary partners.
Chef Travis Petersen is a recognized leader in the cannabis culinary space, having already hosted over 1,000 infused pop-up events across North America and Europe. Known for his precise infusion techniques and approach to cannabinoid and terpene pairing, Petersen brings both flavor and functionality to the table. The series was designed to offer a discreet but educational environment for guests to experience infused dining in a curated, low-key setting.
Each five-course menu was infused with house-made sauces and components, offering guests the ability to choose their preferred THC dosing levels. Standout menu items included a “Stoned Noodles” dish with tiger prawn and udon in sweet soy, a cannabis take on “Lunchables” featuring a pizza egg roll, and a brunch offering that included Cinnamon Toast Crunch French toast with infused syrup and ice cream. Rove products—including Ice Pack infused prerolls and a range of Diamond Vape strains—were also sampled at each dinner.
The partnership was sparked years prior when Rove’s Director of Product Development Ivo Knehnetsky—a former chef—met Petersen at a cannabis dinner in Phoenix. The two stayed in touch and committed to a future collaboration.
Select dinners in Ohio and Missouri were led by chefs trained by Petersen—Chef Jayuan Smith and Chef Avery Dunn—while others featured Petersen himself, alongside Chef Alex Thomas. The final dinner of the series took place at Petersen’s home in Phoenix, where he and Knehnetsky co-led the kitchen for a small invite-only group on 4/20.
